Contest : Name My New Find!

As promised, here are some pics of my new find. I think she's beautiful even though she needs a good cleaning! I haven't figured out how to do that without harming the gold on her yet, but I will.

I need help naming her, so I'm gonna run a contest! It'll run until May 1st and I'm asking everyone to help me name my machine! I'll let hubby draw a name from a hat on May 1st and the winning name will win a goodie box filled with all sorts of different things from me!

So - On with the contest and Good Luck to everyone!

What a great find! My husbands grandfather had bought me this exact sewing machine in a table about 10 years ago. It still had the little sewing box and owners manuel with it. It is such a treasure.

Sorry though that I am brain dead right now, and have no suggestions for a name.

What a great find! I love the old machines. They're practically indestructible.

I think an old machine should have an old name (my opinion). The first one that came to mind was Mabel.

Hey Tammy, can you put more than one name in? I mean, can you enter more than once? I'm usually a ham with names and I thought I might try for more than one.

Anyway, I guess mine is:

Miss Goldie Treadwell

(well, she's got gold trim, and she's descended from the treadle type sewing machines, right?)

What a great find...
as for a name, how's about "Molly" Machine...Molly the Dolly sewing machine.....ok, kinda goofy, but Molly is the first thing that poped into my head when I saw it..."Molly" sounds so pioneer womanish,,,strong & takes care of business yet still ever so feminan...& we know that our pioneer forrunners were the mainsaty of the family.
Enjoy your wonderful machine & have fun giving her that special name.

Since she is a beauty, how about Princess Sindi Singer Sewer?
She is a beauty. It reminds me of a sewing machine my Mother sewed on when I was a child.
